Sara is a researcher developer, with particular interest in inclusive research cultures.
In addition to her role in three EPSRC funded Inclusion Matters projects she is the named institutional partner on a social enterprise, “Fearlessly” which is focused on young people’s mental health, was PI on a Scottish Government project to develop networks to boost retention of women in STEM (Ingenious and Enterprising Women) and partnered with the Institute of Physics to write their influence “Resilience Toolkit”.
Outside work, Sara founded the annual Science Festival ‘Bang Goes the Borders’ in 2011 and supports inclusive education as a member of the Borders College Management board.
